Chris knows the English Lake District well and conciders the area his spiritual home. It's surprising then to find that this May 2012 image is the first panorama that he's made there. (A preoccupation with climbing partly accounting for the ommission).
Anyway, the location - concidering it's close proximity to the well-known junction at Skelwith Bridge - is a surprisingly unvisited stretch of water: Loughrigg Tarn.
Although, having said that, it was less the water itself but rather the gnarled appearance of the close at hand trees that drew the eye initially.
