This panorama of London's St Martin-in-the-Fields was made during the 2012 Olympic games. The higher frequency of tour guides with their in-tow group of tourists was witness to this.

In fact Chris originally set off for London with the intention of making a panorama from the top of the front steps of St Martin's itself, looking out across Trafalgar Square. However, the life-sized wooden figures that he had seen a week or so earlier - and that were to provide a distinctive foreground - were no longer to be seen and the north side of the sqaure was swathed in a "media centre". Consequently an alternative vantage point was sought out and Adelaide Street, to the rear of the church, was chosen in order to capture St Martin's itself.
